What is the 2002 State of the Environment Report?

AN ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT: Written by Youth and published by the SolarQuest iNetNews Service with the goal to influence local, state, and national policy on the environment and sustainable development.

AN ANTHOLOGY OF CASE STUDIES: In which "Best Practices" developed and initiated by Youth can be emulated for the benefit of all American communities.

A RESOURCE AND REFERENCE MANUAL: With the goal to provide networking assistance and access to information to Youth Leaders, educators, advocates, and policy makers...and enable them to resolve environmental issues at local, state, and national levels.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO PUBLISH: YOUR views on critical issues concerning the environment and sustainable development and to distribute your views to our nation's political leaders, nonprofit organizations, universities and colleges, and business leaders.

THE VOICE OF AMERICAN YOUTH: The State of the Environment Report is YOUR VOICE to influence policy on the environment and sustainable development.



When is the Report published?The 2002 State of the Environment Report will be published in March, 2002 to be utilised in conjunction with the National Youth Roundtable on the State of the Environment April 19-23, 2002 in Washington D.C. The Report will be presented to the President of the United States and to Congress in a ceremony on Earth Day April 22, 2002.

Your report may consist of a research paper, an interview, an editorial, investigative news article, or other appropriate genre that is informative and complies with the 10 goals of sustainable development that impact the environment.
